Results from any number of examination sittings may be combined to meet minimum entry requirements.
The same subject may be included only once in any combination of results (see panel above).
All results must be at Grade D or higher.
Applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements will be allocated points based on the most favourable of the combinations of results (see panel above).
Points for A level subjects will be calculated on the basis of results achieved in one academic year.
In addition, applicants must meet minimum entry requirements and full details of the various programme requirements are available from the Admissions Office.

The Dublin Institute of Technology will consider applications from candidates presenting the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Where a Leaving Certificate subject is required at Ordinary Level the minimum International Baccalaureate equivalent is Grade 4 at Standard Level. Where a Leaving Certificate subject is required at Honours Level the minimum International Baccalaureate equivalent is Grade 5 at Higher Level.
For Honours degree programmes the International Baccalaureate candidate must present a minimum of two subjects at Grade 5 at Higher Level and four other results at Grade 4. For Level 7/6 programmes the International Baccalaureate candidate must present a minimum of Grade 4 in all six subjects.
Applicants who satisfy the minimum requirements and any special programme requirements will be assessed on their performance in their three best Higher Level subjects and will be awarded points as in the table above.
