DIT students at Marley Park Market
23rd November 2011: Final Year Students on the B.Sc. Business and Management programme (DT365) taking the Enterprise Studies option organised stalls at the Marley Park Market. The 65 students traded in groups across 11 stalls selling products as diverse as homemade cakes and scones, Christmas puddings, Christmas cards, jams, jewellery, paintings, balloons, hats and bird seed.
B.Sc. Business and Management (DT365) Year 4 students Trading at the DLRCC CoCo Market at Marley Park on 12 and 13 November.
This initiative, introduced by Enterprise Studies lecturer Margaret Fitzsimons, was designed to give students the experience of business planning including engaging with the DLRCC, of product sourcing and of selling. The post event written reflection on the experience contributes toward their module grade.
All profits were distributed to a range of charities.
