The 5th Dublin Juggling ConventionIn
association with DIT, Trinity and UCD Juggling Societies 5th - 7th March 2004
Great Balls of Fire..
Those looking for a way to add a spark to their weekend could do worse than visit Trinity College this Friday, which will play host to a dramatic display of fire juggling. Marking the start of the Dublin Juggling Convention, the show will start at 8pm and will be accompanied by a DJ. The convention, which runs from the 5th - 7th March, aims to promote the ancient art of juggling and to introduce it to a larger audience.
Workshops will be run all weekend in Larkin College (just off Cathal Brugha Street) for those who wish to brush up on their juggling skills, learn new tricks or just simply show off their talents! Saturday's workshop will run from 10 am until 6pm and Sunday from 11am until around 2pm, after which there will be games in Merrion Square, weather permitting.
The highlight of the weekend will be the Renegade Show, which will be hosted in the Irish Film Institute (previously the IFC) on Eustace Street. Starting at 10:30 the evening will showcase the weird, wonderful and downright bizarre talents of the juggling scene.
Tickets for the weekend cost 15 Euro and are available at all the participating venues.
