Dublin School of Architecture hosts international conference
The European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) and the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) will hold their conference in Dublin in early June. The theme of the conference will be 'Between Research and Practice' and keynote speakers include engineer and architect, Professor Chris Luebkeman, currently a Director of Research and Development with Arup; Professor Brian Norton, President of DIT; and Ciaran O'Connor, Assistant Principal Architect, Office of Public Works.
Jim Horan, Head of the Dublin School of Architecture, is currently President of the EAAE. Announcing the programme for the conference, Mr. Horan said he was particularly proud that the School would be hosting the conference in DIT Bolton Street, and he looked forward to interaction between students and staff of the School and the international delegates. "We are also very proud that the official opening of our students' end of year exhibition will form part of the programme of the conference, and we will be able to showcase the quality of the students' work to an international audience as well as hoping that the Irish public will come to Bolton Street to view it."
