New Students
Information for New Students
When you register on a DIT programme a number of accounts are created for you which will allow you to access:
DIT Email account
Your DIT email address is in the following format[firstname.surname@mydit.ie]
Your username is your DIT student number
Your password is your 8 digit date of birth (ddmmyyyy)
To access your email go to http://mydit.ie and click on the link for student email.
Webcourses- DIT's e-learning environment
To access webcourses go to http://webcourses.dit.ie
Your username is your DIT student number
Your password is your 8 digit date of birth (ddmmyyyy)
PC Login [For the majority of Computer Labs and libraries throughout the Institute]
Your username is your DIT student number
Your password is your 8 digit date of birth (ddmmyyyy)
Logon to the ICTDOMAIN domain
Additional IT Accounts, Computer Labs and Specialised Computer Applications, specific to your course in DIT, may also be required for you to complete your course work.
These will be created as required or upon the request of a Course Co-ordinator. For information about any additional IT/Network services or Computer Applications, please contact the Support Centre in the first instance.
