MSc in Geographic Information Science
(Full time or Part time)

The overall goal of the programme is to produce a highly-educated, technically-competent and marketable graduate who can make a significant contribution in the challenging and developing area of the geospatial sciences. The programme is aimed at deepening the knowledge of graduates from disciplines related to the geospatial sciences such as in geomatics, geography, geology, planning, archaeology, forestry, agriculture, computer science, engineering, environmental sciences or any other relevant discipline.

This is a conversion programme to enable graduates of a related discipline to acquire a qualification in Geographic Infomation Science at Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Level.   The programme is presented within the Spatial Information Sciences division of the School of Surveying and Construction Management in DIT Bolton Street.  A maximum intake of 20 students is planned from different disciplines and backgrounds.
