ECCMR VII - The 7th European Conference on Constitutive models for Rubber

The conference was hosted by the Centre for Elastomer Research and is the premier rubber technology event throughout Europe. The conference took place at the Radisson-Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin, Ireland between September 20th - 23rd, 2011.

In 2011, in the largest ECCMR programme to date, all of the topics of the previous years remained strongly represented. However, there was a need for the organising and scientific committees to timetable two full conference sessions to Modelling and Simulation and similarly there was a discernable increase in presentations devoted to understanding fatigue mechanisms and associated theories and analyses and simulations. Not surprisingly, properties of new adaptive elastomers featured strongly for the first time.

The previous conferences,  Vienna in1999, Hanover in 2001, London in 2003, Stockholm in 2005, Paris in 2007 and Dresden in 2009 were highly successful and attracted a large number of delegates from a wide variety of disciplines in academia and industry worldwide.
