Oifig na Gaeilge is offering scholarships to DIT staff and students who would like to spend a week in the Gaeltacht on an Irish language course this summer

DIT Staff:

DIT staff who would like to participate on an Irish language course in the Gaeltacht at any level may apply for the scholarship. The scholarship is worth €200 per person and the days spent on the Gaeltacht course are recognised by Human Resources as training days but you must receive prior permission from your line manager to attend any course.

DIT Students:

Fulltime DIT students can apply for a scholarship to spend a week learning Irish with Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, Co. Donegal any week from the 3rd of June until the end of August at any level. The Oifig na Gaeilge scholarship will cover the tuition fees and the cost of self catering accommodation and students must pay €50 and their travel and food expenses, except for the courses taking place in Gleann Fhinne from the 22nd July – 5th August 2017 which are more expensive as no self catering accommodation is available.

At the end of the course, a short report on the summer course must be completed by all recipients of the scholarship.
