Manufacturing employs over 220,000 people in Ireland, and exports are valued 85 billion euro. Irish Manufacturing is currently undergoing change from the traditional labour intensive industries, up the value chain to highly automated industries where research and development and entrepreneurial skills are important ingredients.Our new modularised programme which was accredited by Engineers Ireland in 2006 has addressed the changes in Irish manufacturing, offering modules in niche manufacturing areas such as Biopharma processes, Micro and Nano Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Food Processing and Control Engineering, ensuring graduates are competitive in the modern job market.
