John Brennan holds B.Eng. (Manufacturing, Dublin Institute of Technology, 2005) M.Sc. (De Montfort University, 2010) degrees and a fitter/turner trade certificate (DIT, 1993).
John lectures in the areas of design projects, rapid prototyping, medical device manufacture, oil analysis, machine maintenance and manufacture.
John’s research interests include areas such as Rapid Prototyping, Preoperative Planning Models, Customised Medical Implants, Bio Compatible Materials and technologies such as CT and MRI Scanning. Other areas of interest include Oil Analysis and Ultrasound Monitoring techniques.
Prior to joining DIT, John performed a variety of technical, supervisory and training roles in industry-leading companies such as Hewlett Packard and Oral-B, and maintains links with these companies for student mentorship. He is a member of Engineers Ireland.
