James Gilsenan

James Gilsenan holds a B.Tech degree in Materials and Engineering Technology from the University of Limerick (2001) and Senior Trades (Fitting) from Dublin Institute of Technology (1987).

James supervises final year projects for the Engineering Systems Maintenence programmes in a variety of industrial fields, and is subject matter expert for the revision of the MAMF trade area.  He has served as Chief Examiner for the National Skills Competition and world skills expert in the skill area of Polymechanic Automation.  He also develops and delivers Mechanical Maintenence courses to industry.

Prior to joining DIT, James held technical roles in industry with several companies in the plastics moulding and precision manufacturing fields.
