Docklands Innovation/DIT Student Enterprise Competition 2016
DIT Hothouse is once again proud to sponsor the Docklands Innovation/DIT Student Enterprise Competition which is open to all students within Dublin Institute of Technology. This year's competition is also sponsored by AIB, Docklands Innovation (a Bolton Trust initiative) and Enterprise Ireland.

In this, the 24th consecutive year of the competition, DIT is again providing its students, both postgraduate and undergraduate students, with the opportunity to win a range of cash prizes in the biggest 3rd level institute enterprise competition in the country. The main objective of the competition is to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among DIT students and to encourage and support a rigorous business planning approach to entrepreneurial activities.
The competition is open to teams of registered DIT postgraduate and undergraduate students. Each team should have at least two but no more than six students. The students can come from any discipline and any college and multi-disciplinary, cross-college teams are particularly welcome. In certain circumstances a team of one may be accepted.
A series of workshops will be held and full details will be published as soon as the locations/ times have been finalised.
The closing date for entry/submission of completed business plans is 29 January 2016. One electronic copy (pdf) must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before that date. There will be no exceptions made for late entries. A shortlist of plans will be selected on and all shortlisted teams notified.
The semi-finals will take place on 24 February 2016 and consist of a ten-minute presentation and a five minute Q & A session.
The final will be held on 09 March 2016 in DIT Bolton Street where the teams will present their business plans to a selected panel of adjudicators whose decision shall be final. The results will be announced on the night and prizes/ certificates will be presented to all the winning teams.
How to Enter
Submit an electronic copy of your Business Plan to email@example.com before 29 January 2016. Three copies of the business plan, poster and video (optional) must be given to your course tutor by 29 January, to present to the judging panel or to one of the organising committee
