Information for Staff

Staff Workspace Design

The DIT New City Centre Campus - Grangegorman provides an opportunity to reassess how we deliver all aspects of our provision, including the working environment for staff.  Click on the heading above to access a summary of the discussion and the relevant presentations.

Visiting the Campus during construction

As the Campus is now open for use, there are no restrictions on visiting the open areas during construction. However, specific parts of the Campus are still designated as a construction zone and visitors to these areas must comply with the requirements of legislation relating to Safety, Health and Welfare in construction.

To facilitate visits to the construction zone, the GDA has developed a procedure for the purpose for the safe management of access by DIT staff/students and other visitors. The procedure is followed by the completion and submission of a simple form, downloaded from the link below.

Staff Briefings

A series of briefings are underway for all staff. Presentations made as part of these briefings are accessible on the Staff Intranet at this link.

Planning the 2019 move

The move in 2019 will result in half of DIT's activities being located in Grangegorman. This will be achieved through the construction of the East and Central Quad buildings which are being procured under a Public Private Partnership. At present, a Preferred Tenderer has been appointed with the objective of achieving financial close in Autumn 2017. The move is being coordinated as part of the campus migration project under the direction of the Central and East Quad Individual Project Migration Teams. Information relevant to these teams can be found on the Migration page.

Part of the planning for the move requires a comprehensive strategy for decanting the existing buildings. The current version of the Decant Strategy document was originally prepared to reflect a move in 2017. It is available below.

Decant Strategy for 2017

This document will continue to develop through the procurement phase and updates will be posted here.
