The School takes pride in providing opportunities for students to progress from various entry points on the academic ladder; from post-secondary students and apprentices to PhD and post-doctoral researchers.

Avrils Story:

Engineering appealed to me as it combines Maths and Science, which were my favourite subjects at school. I chose to study at DIT for two main reasons. Firstly the course provides a good balance of lectures and practical work. Sometimes what you learn in a lecture doesn't mean much until you see it in practice in the lab.
