How to make your first appointment

Ring our secretary Gabby Lynch on (1) 402 3352, text to 086 0820543 or email gabby.lynch@dit.ie

Once you have contacted our secretary, she will allocate the next available appointment to you. Please be aware that due to the very high demand on the service during term time, if appointments are not available the service operates a waiting list that your name will be placed on. You will be contacted as soon as an assessment appointment becomes available.

If you request to be seen on a particular site or if you have any other preferences (e.g. male or female counsellor, one specific counsellor), we will try our best to accommodate you, however due to the  very high demand for appointments this may incur a longer wait for an appointment.

Your first appointment will be made and confirmed by Gabby, and any consecutive appointments will then be arranged directly with your counsellor.

Note: By seeing a counsellor for a first appointment you do not commit yourself to further sessions with that counsellor.

If in doubt whether counselling is really necessary or the right thing for you, do not hesitate to make an appointment. You can talk openly to your counsellor about your doubts, and - in consultation with your counsellor - you will decide yourself whether you want to come in for more sessions of counselling.
