BSc Marketing students take home silver at the Rotterdam International Case Competition

The College of Business are proud to announce the 4th year BSc Marketing students; Ciara Whooley, Molly O'Byrne, Nicole Woods and Emma Yourell as silver medal winners at the Rotterdam International Case Competition. The competition was held at Rotterdam Business School from November 12-17, 2017 in the global city of Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The team made it to the final unbeaten and entered the final top of the league table. They were up against Bishops University, Canada. Thammasat University, Thailand and Concordia University, Canada in the final and came second, winning the silver medal overall.
The group were aided to victory by their team coach- Dr Tara Rooney, lecturer in Strategic Marketing at DIT School of Marketing. Also assisting the team throughout the competition was Louise Rikkoert, their dedicated team ambassador from Rotterdam University of Applied Studies.
The Rotterdam International Case Competition is an exciting competition between undergraduate student teams from 16 top-ranked business schools from different continents who present their business recommendations to a panel of expert judges from leading companies across Rotterdam. As an international event that attracts top business students from around the world, RICC is a natural fit for companies or government agencies with an interest in supporting education, highlighting their international credentials, and connecting with top students.
